Airplanes*

When I fall, you fall too.
We don’t crash in compartments.
We’re one.
Little pieces could never
assemble the mystical sum.
Almost heaven, undone,
every man carries dawn.
We are in this together,
forever.
Fragile wings, fragile thought,
fragile seas, fragile song.

*This poem was inspired by a line I’ve read in Pete Deakon’s blog (Captain’s log)
“You don’t crash in compartments.”
